  1. Utterly FASCINATING! I have never heard of gravehouses in my life. What a great little documentary you made, Dave. I wonder how many states had this tradition? Do you know? Lol, I can see I'm on the verge of another internet search. Loved this post!
(See what a fan you have already? Me, for sure, but now I'm heading to bed, so if you post anymore of these, I'll catch up tomorrow. 'nite :D )

  2. Now this is totally new to me. As Jenny said, it's fascinating..really! I wish I had come across such a thing but even if I had, I would never know what it was. This is a super blog Dave..loved it.

  3. This is new to me, too, Dave; got to learn more about gravehouses now. When you think about it, the large gravehouses are a civilized way to provide a comfortable, homelike environment when visiting family resting places, but the small ones which surround the markers baffle me just a little.

I enjoy learning new things; thank you for offering information which is so entirely unfamiliar.

(The one gravehouse with the root growing from the roof to the floor in side was a little eerie...
